As such, we believe their practice should reflect their personal values, beliefs, and attitudes, in addition to upholding the civil standards of the society it serves. Governmental and third-sector institutions around the world spend approximately $10 trillion (USD) in public funds annually to procure the goods, services, and infrastructure necessary to fulfill their missions; yet, for decades, the public procurement organizations that support these institutions have consistently cited the inability to recruit, hire, train, and retain enough properly educated and sufficiently experienced professionals an impediment to the effective, efficient, and economic expenditure of the public funds under their stewardship.
In response, we aim to inspire and empower the current and aspiring global public procurement professionals by partnering with public sector agencies, private sector companies, nonprofit organizations, and higher education institutions to highlight the most important public procurement academic research, networking events, education programs, and professional opportunities from around the world.
