Governments around the world purchase approximately $10 trillion in goods and services to accomplish their missions, serve their citizens, and achieve public policy goals. But how do government leaders and managers, policymakers, and citizens know the money is being spent effectively and efficiently?
Based on Public Spend Forum’s (PSF) two-year study on the metrics of public procurement, the organization found no consistent measurement framework exists to guide the management and oversight of trillions in spending.
To address the need for a standard framework, PSF studied current practices and a potential path forward to be utilized across the world.
In this second webinar, PSF will:
Review the Measuring Public Procurement Value (MPV) framework in detail;
Discuss challenges and solutions for data collection; and,
Review implementation steps.
